How to use ChillarFlow
From first login to fully automated household finance — a step-by-step walkthrough for every household type. Pick your setup below and follow your personalised guide.
Select your household type
Both partners contribute monthly to a shared fund that covers household expenses. Settlement runs in the background.
Create your household
Sign up at chillarflow.com/app and choose "Joint Pool" mode. Name Partner A and Partner B — these names appear on every transaction and in all reports.
Set your monthly contributions
Go to the Contributions tab and enter how much each partner puts into the household pool each month. You can set different amounts — ₹40,000 + ₹25,000 is fine. ChillarFlow tracks the pool balance automatically.
Connect your chat assistant
Open WhatsApp or Telegram and message your household bot link. Send "450 Zomato joint" — the bot reads the amount, assigns it to the joint pool, and logs it instantly on your dashboard.
Flag personal spends as "to settle"
When you swipe your personal card for a shared expense, send "1200 groceries to settle". ChillarFlow adds it to your settlement balance — Partner B owes Partner A ₹1,200 — without touching the pool.
Review your dashboard weekly
The Home screen shows your joint pool balance, burn rate, and each partner's spending share. Tap any transaction to edit it. Use the Activity feed to see a full history of every change.
Settle up and reset
When you're ready, open Settle Up, review the running balance, and tap "Settle Now". The balance clears and a record is saved — no spreadsheet editing required.
